Injection molding of PEEK resin
If you are having trouble with PEEK resin molding and processing, please leave it to us!
Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a thermoplastic resin classified as a super engineering plastic that is difficult to mold. Its characteristics include a high heat resistance (continuous use temperature of 260°C), excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance, sliding properties, chemical resistance, and radiation resistance, with low leachables such as ions and outgassing, making it biocompatible. Additionally, it has recently gained attention as an alternative to fluoropolymers in terms of chemical resistance. However, while the molding temperatures for general plastics range from 200 to 300°C, PEEK resin requires a high temperature of 400°C, and the mold temperature must also be set around 200°C, necessitating very high temperatures for molding. Molding at high temperatures can lead to significant variations in quality, requiring specialized know-how. Our company can achieve stable molding through optimal molding equipment and mold design based on our extensive experience with PEEK resin, as well as material selection tailored to customer requirements. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
